Is cork flooring suitable for a concrete basement slab?
Yes, cork flooring can be used effectively in a basement setting with a
moisture barrier. Concrete basement slabs are prone to moisture migration, which can damage the flooring when a moisture barrier is not installed.
For
glue-down flooring, we recommend installing a moisture barrier, then a subfloor, before installing the glue-down cork flooring.
For
floating flooring, a subfloor is not required; the tiles can be installed directly on the moisture barrier.
