Can I use an adhesive besides contact cement to adhere cork tiles?Updated 6 months ago
Becasuse most water-based non-contact adhesives require water to evaporate in order for adhesion to occur. Cork tiles have a tendency to curl at the edges as they expand. Therefore, with cork tiles during the adhesive cure phase, as water evaporates, the center of the tile ends up securely glued down but the corners aren't because they curled up during the curing process. Contact cement avoids this by pre-drying before the bond is created.
